Are your Blinds Imported Ready Mades? |
|
No, all of our blinds are quality Australian, Custom made products, made to suit your measurements. We will have a small range of Ready Made Blinds, for customers that are on a restricted budget on our website soon. Our Ready Made Blinds will be under a separate category in our store and clearly listed as Ready Made Blinds. |

Can I visit your showroom to see the products? |
|
Yes you are more than welcome to come in and see our great range and quality at our large showroom. We only ask that you realise that our online prices are cheaper than our normal retail prices and to let the sales consultant know that you saw us on online.

How long does it take to get my blinds after I place my order? |
|
Because our blinds are custom made to your measurements, the length of manufacturing will vary depending on the product.
Roller Blinds 10 to 15 working days
Venetian Blinds 10-15 working days
Roman Blinds 15-20 working days
Panel Blinds 10-15 working days
Vertical Blinds 10-15 working days
The maximum time is more related to our busy pre Christmas period and throughout the year the manufacturing time is shorter.
From time to time we can experience some stock delays. We will endeavour to notify you as soon as possible of the delay and offer alternatives that might be suitable.
The blinds will then be delivered to you and the delivery time can vary, depending on which state they are going to.

What happens if I need advice on measuring? |
|
First read our "Guide to Measuring" for each of the individual products. If you are still unsure, we are only too happy to answer any questions you might have in regards to measuring or general product enquiries.

For tricky windows such as Bay or Corner windows we will only be too happy to guide you through the measuring requirements. Often we suggest emailing us a digital photo of your window, so we can see exactly what needs to be measured and we will then be able to see instantly anything that needs to be looked out for.

What happens if I need to alter my order after placing it? |
|
If you find that you need to change your order, this can be done up to 24 hours after receiving payment. Once the blinds have gone into manufacturing unfortunately the order cannot be changed.
Call or email us straight away if you have any changes to make and we will try our hardest to help you.
Always double check your measurements and colour selection before completing the order. |

What happens if I have measured incorrectly? |
|
Unfortunately once the blinds have been manufactured they cannot be returned to us as we can not resell custom made goods as they will only suit your window. Please read the How to Measure Guide carefully prior to measuring. Contact us if you have any further questions prior to ordering and we will be happy to step you through it. |

What happens if the blind is damaged when delivered? |
|
We highly recommend Freight Insurance. This is offered as an optional extra and covers any damage or loss to blinds whilst in transit.
If for any reason your blinds are damaged, do not sign for them, but send them straight back and they will be replaced.
Unfortunately blinds that are not insured and get damaged cannot be returned or replaced. |

5 Year Warranty on material & workmanship
Blindsonline are proud to extend a 5 year warranty on all custom-made products. All custom-made products are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty includes all materials, mechanisms (cord locks and tilts gears) and components (brackets, wands, caps, etc.) which make up the blind or shade. We deem the product to have a 5 year lifespan and the warranty will cover this period of time only.
In the event a Blindsonline custom-made product is found to be defective in materials or workmanship, we will, at our discretion, repair, or replace the product which fails to conform to this warranty. Please note that colour may vary from lot to lot on some styles, and that we can discontinue certain styles and colours overtime. On discontinued items, we reserve the right to substitute warrantied product with the nearest colour or style of equivalent or greater value. On current products, we will make every effort to match current style and colour. In the event that warrantied product is not repairable, and cannot be replaced with the original style and colour (i.e. discontinued), it will be replaced free of charge with the closest available product.
The warranty is valid for all Blindsonline manufactured products. To activate this warranty, the purchaser must contact Blindsonline to organise the return of the product. Blindsonline will cover the costs of transport for the first 12 months of the warranty period only.
After the first 12 months the purchaser is responsible for returning the damaged blind along with invoice and original sales receipt, to Blindsonline.
Upon return of the damaged product, Blindsonline will inspect the blind to evaluate the warranty claim. If the product is deemed to be damaged by reasons not related to the warranty cover, the purchaser will be required to cover the costs of repair and freight charges.
This warranty does not cover any product which fails due to accident, alterations, misuse, abuse, misapplication, improper handling, improper installation, improper operation or cleaning, and normal wear and tear (examples: normal fabric fraying and loss of colour intensity from prolonged use, exposure to salt air, damage from insects or pets).
Wood blinds and natural woven shades are made from natural materials. As such, the following are to be considered as naturally inherent characteristics: variations in colour, grain and texture, natural markings (knots, mineral deposits, etc.), minor bowing or warping of slats, and natural materials. In addition, excessive warping of wood blinds or natural woven shades is excluded if installed in a high humidity area.
This warranty does not cover cost associated with warranty service which includes, but is not limited to, transportation costs to and from our store, costs of removal, re-measure or reinstallation of product, or any incidental or consequential damages.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and limitations, and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. No employee of Blindsonline has the authority to increase or alter the obligation of this warranty.
This warranty is non-transferable.
Please note that the purchaser of this product has 30 days from the date they pick up the product to notify Blindsonline if they are missing slats, blinds, brackets or any other portion of their order. After this time frame, the order will be considered 100% delivered to the customer.

What are your policies on refunds or cancellations? |
|
Cancellations, Changes or Refunds of order.
In the event that you need to change or cancel your order after placing it online, we require that you contact us within 24 hours by phoning 1300 761 179, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
As your order is custom made, alterations to your order after this time frame will not be possible; however Blindsonline will try our hardest to help you.
Blindsonline will automatically charge your credit card for the full purchase price from receiving your order.
Please keep in mind that as your order is for custom made window furnishings, that will only suit your size windows, we are unable to on sell them. We ask that you double check all measurements and details prior to placing your order.
Blindsonline will refund payments made if the cancellation is made within 24 hours of the purchase or the next business day. The refund will be made back to your credit card within 7 working days. A 10% administration fee will be deducted for cancellations.
As we do not retain any credit card details, we will need to get this information verbally from you so we can process the refund.
Blindsonline reserve the rights to cancel orders if
• We can not fulfill your order due to stock delays.
• Typographical error or website malfunction has occurred with pricing or description
Blindsonline can not be held responsible for incorrect measuring or wrong colour choices.

How accurate are the colours shown for the blinds? |
|
Colours shown on monitors can vary depending on the settings of each individual computer. We offer free samples, so you can see our range before ordering and we highly recommend that you take up this option.
Colour samples can vary from one dye lot to the next. Please use as a guide and be aware that variations can occur.
Timber blinds are a natural product, the sample & product can vary from each batch from grain to colour. This is what makes a timber blind unique and is not seen as a fault in the product.

Do you provide a Measuring & Installation Service? |
|
Yes we do offer a measuring service in Melbourne Metro area only. For a small fee of $75.00, we can measure your windows for you, ensuring that your blinds will fit perfectly.
We also offer an installation service for Melbourne Metro area, with a minimum call out fee of $80.00
The individual fitting charges are;
Roller Blind $20.00
Roman Blind $25.00
Vertical Blind $25.00
Panel Blind $25.00

How and when is my order delivered? |
|
We only use reputable freight companies that are capable of servicing every state of Australia. All deliveries are to your door.
Once your order is ready for despatching, you will be contacted by a staff member to advise on the scheduled delivery day. The delivery will be from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Due to the delivery requiring a signature, we will ask permission from you to have the delivery left on the doorstep if nobody is home, otherwise a redelivery fee will be charged if nobody is home to sign and permission to leave the order has not been granted and a second delivery occurs.
As Blindsonline uses an outside freight company, from time to time delays can occur and unfortunately once your order leaves our premises, we are no longer in control of the delivery or notified of any delays.
We will email to you the delivery due date and the consignment number of your delivery, so you can easily track your orders arrival. |

How secure is your website when making a payment? |

We understand just how important it is to have a secure payment field on a website, so Blindsonline.com.au uses high level SSL encryption technology, the most advanced security currently available for online transactions.
You will also note a small yellow padlock will also appear in the bottom of your browser when entering your credit card details. The start of the web address will also be replaced from 'http' to 'https' for proof of security.
All payments go through a payment gateway directly with a banking organisation. We do not have access to your credit card details once the payment has been made. |

Are my details kept Private? |

When you place your order or request a colour sample, we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software encrypts all information you enter before it is forwarded to us.
All the staff at Blindsonline.com.au who have access to your details are obliged to respect your confidentiality and take this responsibility seriously.

Can I change the control side of my new blind? |
|
YES for -
Roller blinds, you just need to carefully slide out the end caps and swap over. Make sure the brackets are moved to suit the required end cap too.
Vertical Blinds you just need to mount the track with the cord controller on the side you require, as the track is reversable.
NO for-
Roman Blinds
Venetian Blinds
Panel Glides

What are your delivery charges? |
|
Unlike other websites, we do not add the delivery charge into the blind price and then tout "Free Delivery". We show all charges upfront and don't deceive our customers.
The prices are as follows;
Roller, Vertical, Panel, Sunscreen & Valance - $25 for the first blind and $5 for each additional blind.
Roman and Timber Venetians - $35 for the first blind and $10 for each additional.
For orders with blinds in both categories the higher fee of $35 will be charged and then the individual additional blind fee added.
Our delivery charges are capped and will not exceed $100 per order. |
