All widths over 2500 can not have a drop exceeding 2300. See individual fabrics for further details.
Oversized Blinds - All blinds over 2700mm width are considered oversized and will not come with a 5 year warranty. This is due to the risk of the fabric not sitting flat and the possibilty of the cloth having a V shaped waft. We are still able to make the blind and take extreme care to avoid any problems but we cannot guarantee it from happening.
Blind Cloth Roll Directions-
Back rolled - cloth comes off the back of the roller towards the glass. Please take into account the fabric and if it has a white coating on the rear this will be visible in the room on the top of the roller.
Front rolled - cloth comes forward off the roller away from the window towards the room.
Select from the following combinations
- Both Blinds Back Rolled
- Both Blind Front Rolled
- Front Blind Front Rolled, Back Blind Back Rolled
The 3rd option is the preferred cloth direction for double blinds, ensuring that both blinds do not interfere with operation of each other.
Recess Depth
125mm, for the blinds to sit neatly inside the frame.
Minimum depth 60mm -this will result in the blinds projecting out of the recess
Bracket can be mounted into the roof of the frame or to the side of the recessed frame
Corner Windows - Deduct 130mm from the Butt Blind
Selecting Fabrics
Due to origin of manufacturing, only ACM Light Filtering Fabrics can be combined with ACM Blockout fabrics. ICM Light Filtering can only be combined with ICM Blockout Fabrics.
Spring Assist - Important
We include a spring assists into the price of all blinds over the width of 2400 when the drop exceeds 1500, our competitors don't. We consider this essential for a high quality blind that will last many years and not as an optional extra.
A spring assist is a tensioning spring inside the roller which helps wind the blind when operating and takes the stress off the chain drive mechanism. Allowing your blind to operate easily and extends the life of the product.
Chain Tensioner – Child Safety Regulations
All roller blinds are supplied with a chain tensioner. This device is hooked through the loop of the chain and secured to the wall or window frame, reducing the opening for the loop and keeping it out of harms way. It is Law in all states that our customers fix this device to their roller blind chains.
Important – when ordering multiple blinds to butt together on a single window or door, the central blind/blinds must have a point to secure the chain tensioner. If this is not possible, then we recommend that you order a multi link system to eliminate the central chains or order the central blind/blinds with shortened chain/chains that are a minimum of 1.6m off the floor. Available on ACM blinds only.
Failure to order a Mulit Link or have chains <1.6m off the floor for 3 or more butting blinds, will release Blindsonline.com.au from any liability.
